🧡 As National Gun Violence Awareness Week comes to a close, my commitment does not.

I wear orange for my son, Tikya. I wear orange for my great-grandson, who lost his father to gun violence. I wear orange for every family carrying grief that the world cannot always see.

Orange is not about politics. Orange is about love, remembrance, healing, and hope.

As a survivor and advocate, I will continue to speak up for our children and future generations. Every child deserves the opportunity to grow, learn, dream, and live in peace.

Together, we remember. Together, we heal. Together, we choose hope. 🧡

🧡 Wear Orange: June 5–7, 2026 🧡

No one truly knows how a survivor feels unless they have walked through it. Gun violence does not only take a life — it changes the emotional, spiritual, and social wellness of families and communities forever.

As a mother, survivor, advocate, and Founder of Community of Grace Organization, I continue to serve others while also carrying my own pain. That journey is not easy. There are days of grief, isolation, strength, and purpose all at the same time.

This is why our community work matters. We serve people walking through adversity because we are all human, and everyone deserves compassion, healing, safety, and support.

Please be kind. Please be loving to survivors or families impacted by gun violence. We do not always know what someone is carrying.

We wear orange to honor lives forever changed, stand with survivors, and remind the world that our loved ones are not targets.

To my beloved son Tikya, we stand for you. We love you.

This is a safe and compassionate space for connection, encouragement, mentorship, healing, stability, and growth.
