Castro Camera LGBTQ Business Collective Your lens into the world of LGBTQ+ 🤝🏳️‍🌈 business in Frederick Maryland... Castro Camera is your lens into the world of LGBTQ+ business in Frederick Maryland.

This unique Social Media group is a powerful community resource and registry designed to spotlight, support, and celebrate local LGBTQ+ owned and operated businesses in The City of Frederick & Frederick County Maryland. A direct nod to Harvey Milk's iconic camera shop, the name “Castro Camera” holds immense historic significance as a focal point for the LGBTQ+ rights movement in San Francisco during the 1970s. Today, the shop remains a symbol of resilience and progress, reminding us of the importance of visibility, representation, and advocacy in the fight for equal rights for all. AI is killing your job search and the reason you can’t get hired. Look up Mobley Vs Workday and EightfoldAI now!

If you keep getting job rejections and are Black, Asian American, over 40, a woman, disabled, or have employment history gaps (among other “indicators” a company for which can exclude applicants) you are being discriminated against behind the scenes and don’t even know it.

Workday is the world’s largest HR platform. 80% of all US companies and nearly all Fortune500 companies use it.

How much do you want to bet that UKG, Microsoft, SAP, ADP and Oracle are doing the same thing?

Workday faces a collective action lawsuit over claims its hiring algorithms discriminate by age, race and disabilities

❤️🏳️‍🌈 This is about taking care of our neighbors.

Whatever your politics or feelings about immigration policy, there’s a human reality that can get lost in the debate: when a parent, caregiver, or breadwinner is suddenly detained or unable to work, the people who depend on them may be left behind needing food and basic necessities. Children still need breakfast. Babies still need to eat. Families still need groceries.

A friend of Pride On The Patio has organized a food drive and is coordinating the collection and distribution of donations to local families affected by 🧊 in Frederick County. Pride On The Patio is proud to serve as a weekly collection point at Showroom. 🏳️‍🌈

🥫 Most needed right now: canned vegetables (corn, peas and mixed vegetables—no beans right now), canned tomato sauce, cereal, mayonnaise, coffee (especially Bustelo), baby food and baby cereal, peanut butter, and jam or jelly.

You don’t have to attend Pride On The Patio or purchase anything at Showroom to help. Just stop by with whatever you’re able to give. One jar, one box or a few cans can make a difference.

📍 Showroom | 882 N East St, Frederick
🗓️ Tuesdays | 5:30–9 PM

Regardless of politics or citizenship status, people left behind can still go hungry. No political litmus test. No judgment. Just neighbors helping neighbors. ❤️
