ATTENTION OFFICERS, CADETS AND PARENTS!

We need your help to get the word out to our musical cadets ASAP! We have been at a disadvantage in training release timing and therefore have had lower interest in this training than expected. But we are determined to keep this unique experience alive for those who are interested.

If you know a cadet or several, who have 2 plus years musical experience and is a solid musician who is willing to work hard with their shipmates, professional musicians and have unique experiences performing for the public and representing the program please notify them as soon as possible.

We have extended the deadline for auditions to April 20th. We have made a few other modifications on the audition process as well to make it easier to send your audition, but we will not sacrifice quality for quantity.

Based on the interest we have had our priorities are :

Primary needs are one or more tubas/sousaphones, 1-2 trumpets.

Secondary needs are another alto sax, tenor sax, bari sax, bass clarinet and more percussion

Over the past few weeks cadets have been learning how to sew from CO and SN Hernandez. Ironing, cutting and learning how to sew on a machine. Cadets are collaborating to create patriotic quilts for our active duty former Sea Cadets and officers.
Learning life skills, giving back to about armed forces and earning community service. All the great things about Sea Cadets.

Are you looking for something engaging your child to do in 2025? Is your child self driven, patriotic, interested in the military, making friends and improving themselves?
The Sea Cadets could be for them! We are a youth leadership program for ages 10-18. We meet one weekend a month at Fort Detrick USMR.
Right now we are currently seeking male and females ages 13 and 14 in 8th or 9th grade to join our spring recruit class.

Our cadets are off to staff or attend training this winter. From RI for POLA, Seamanship, NLCC medical, to CT to culinary, SC to staff RT and NLO and FL for RT and NLCC H&C.

We wish them well and can't wait to hear thier stories. In the meantime we're trying to get some summer trainings approved for here in Frederick again.

Wreaths Across America at Mt Olivet Cemetery in Frederick, MD. Grave site of Francis Scott Key and 4400 other veterans. Unfortunately only 2200 wreaths were donated this year. Remember WAA for next year when donating and Remember our veterans.
Today Pathfinder cadets braved the cold to honor the fallen heros this holiday season.

Inspiring the Next Generation: 's Chief of Cyber Operations & Security Shares His Journey with Naval Sea Cadets

Over the weekend, Dr. Dennis Beatty Jr., had the honor of meeting with the SN Craig Bryan Wibberley-Pathfinders Division Usnscc of the Naval Sea Cadets Corps in Fort Detrick, MD. Dr. Beatty shared his invaluable experiences serving in the U.S. Navy, the transition from military service, and his achievements post-service.

Throughout the day, Dr. Beatty engaged with four groups of enthusiastic Sea Cadets. He provided a 10-minute overview before diving into detailed discussions about his career and life lessons. Dr. Beatty gladly answered their questions, offering insights that were both enlightening and motivational.

At the end of the session, Dr. Beatty was presented with a unit coin by Petty Officer in the cadets Dylan Reisig, symbolizing the deep appreciation and respect from the Sea Cadets.

Pathfinders had a fine display yesterday at the Brunswick Veterans Day Parade. Color guard was done by our four chiefs in celebration of our latest chief pinning. The ceremonial guard did a demonstration and we publicly debuted our field band. This was followed by our Sea and League cadet divisions.
We were honored to march in memory of our Veterans.
