📣Fraser Valley Elementary Earns Top State Honors for Second Consecutive Year!! 📣

Fraser, CO — Fraser Valley Elementary has once again been recognized with two of the highest honors awarded by the Colorado Department of Education: the Governor’s Distinguished Improvement Award and the John Irwin School of Excellence Award. This marks the second consecutive year the school has received both distinctions, underscoring its continued commitment to academic excellence and student growth.

The Governor’s Distinguished Improvement Award is presented to schools that demonstrate exceptional student growth over time. Fraser Valley Elementary earned an Exceeds Expectations rating on the Academic Growth indicator of the School Performance Framework, reflecting strong and consistent growth in English Language Arts, Math, and English Language Proficiency.

The John Irwin School of Excellence Award recognizes schools that demonstrate outstanding academic achievement. Fraser Valley Elementary received an Exceeds Expectations rating on the Academic Achievement indicator, highlighting exceptional performance in Math, English Language Arts, and Science.

“These recognitions for a second year in a row speak volumes about the dedication and collaboration within our school community,” said Dr. James Chamberlin, principal of Fraser Valley Elementary. “Our staff works tirelessly to support every student, and our families are incredible partners in that work. We are proud to continue building a culture where students thrive and succeed. To qualify these awards, 2,800 schools were eligible and only 36 received these honors two years in a row, putting Fraser Valley Elementary in the top 1.5% of schools in the state.”

As part of the East Grand School District, Fraser Valley Elementary remains committed to fostering a supportive, engaging, and high-performing learning environment for all students. Receiving both awards again affirms the school’s sustained focus on growth, achievement, and excellence.
