This feels like a much more personal venue, than a public, angel gown site. I feel blessed, by each of you, who donated (some numerously) in good faith. I feel so very blessed, to be able to make something, that may bring even the tiniest bit of solace, to a grieving family. No, I have never lost a child. I know you are all wondering. ave always loved antique photographs. Since I can remember. If you are looking through antique photographs, you will, at probably many a point, come across memento Moire photos. They are beautiful. The care, and love, and time, that went into having just one photo of their child, for the rest of their lives, is both heartbreaking and breathtakingly beautiful. Even the poorest of families, did the best they could, to have that one photo of their child. (which was very expensive at the time) Then something changed in the world, and It became "taboo" and "morbid" to take photos of deceased loved ones. Thankfully, it is slowly becoming "acceptable" again, and Its a blessed thing. Everyone should have at least one photo of ALL of their children. Especially the one they're never going to see again. Every family should have a beautiful gown for that photo. Too many people dont have beautiful, professional, portraits of their angel babies. Many of the ones lucky enough to have them, dont have clothes for them. They are often wrapped in blankets, or a sheet or a towel. This is why I do what I do. A lot of people think its "abnormal", or get upset, when I mention it. Sadly, death is a very real part of life. You cannot just hide it in the closet. We should celebrate even the briefest of lives. We should never forget, or minimize, the loss of an Angel Baby. Parents need our love, support, and understanding. "Even the smallest foot leaves a footprint". That little foot, should be peeking out beneath a lovely, well fitting, gown.
