What a great turnout today! 🌟
We had a packed house for our Rotary meeting as we welcomed Melanie Norris, PMHNP, from Elite Mindcare & Wellness, a new practice right here in Franklinton at 809 Boat Ramp Rd, next to Riverside Medical Center.

Melanie shared about the importance of accessible mental health care and her holistic approach to treating the whole person — not just the symptoms.

🐝 What’s the buzz? Our Rotary “hive” had a fantastic membership meeting yesterday with guest speaker Damon Ise, who gave us the sweet scoop on bees and their powerful role in our world. 🐝🍯

It couldn’t have been more fitting for this year’s theme: “Join the Hive and Thrive!” 🐝🌻 We had a strong turnout and some buzzing conversations!

I had the opportunity to attend a Community Collaborative with DCFS today, and once again, the numbers shook me. In our very own parishes across the Covington Region, the gap between children in care and available foster homes is staggering. So many children are waiting. So few homes are open.

Have you truly considered opening your heart and home to a child in need? Not just a passing “I wish I could,” but a fall-on-your-knees moment asking God if this is how He’s calling you to be His hands and feet.

Louisiana’s children need more than sympathy — they need families willing to say yes.
