Sweetness alert!

This distinguished mature lady is Lucy Belle. She came into rescue as an owner surrender and we are delighted to have her! When she came in she was covered in fleas and missing a lot of hair. She immediately had a flea/tick bath and some prevention and visited the vet for her vaccines and bloodwork. She will go in very soon for her dental and then will be ready for her forever home.

Get your application in now so when she is ready you are too!

Hi everybody! Not sure if you remember me or not but I came into rescue in October 2024. At the time I was heartworm positive and the vet wanted to go with the slow kill treatment. That was done and one year later I was heartworm free and feeling great! Now I am looking for my forever home and the search hasn't been going well. I have had NO applications. Yes I know I'm not a pug but I am a very good boy and just want my forever family. My foster mom says that I would do best as an only dog and would make a fantastic companion dog for an older person as I love one on one attention.
If you know anyone that might be looking for a good boy like me please share me with them so they can apply to adopt me!

What is better than one pug? Two! Please welcome to rescue Nayla and Jax! We all know pugs are like potato chips, you can't have just one! Nayla is five years old and Jax is four years old. These two are wonderful! They get along well with children and other dogs and eat up attention from humans. What pug doesn't right?!

You don't want to miss out on the joy of adopting these two so get your application in today and ask for Nayla and Jax!

Where are our senior lovers? This one is for you!

Today we took into rescue this sweet senior. Her name is Butters and she is about 14 years old. She did not end up in rescue because she wasn't loved, she very much was! Her owner turned her in only because she lost her job and home and wanted what was best for her. We respect that!

In Butters case it truly ended up being a blessing! We immediately took her to the vet to get her vaccines updated and also requested bloodwork due to her age. We are very glad we did because a dogs normal glucose is 80-125 and hers was 547!! Yup, she is diabetic! Tonight was her first meal on prescription food and her first insulin shot. Her glucose will be retested in a week to make dosage adjustments.

She has some arthritis and really needs a dental however the vet wants to get her sugar under control before we discuss a dental. She has little eyesight already and needs drops.

You know what, none of that matters to PPR! We love her! Welcome to PPR Butters!

We can't decide if this is Forever Home Friday or Foster Fail Friday! Why do we say that? Because Gummy stole his foster moms heart and she has foster failed!
Gummy's foster mom emailed after just a few days and said "I failed"! It's not a fail to Gummy! He is loving life in his new home and has adventures to the park, Starbucks for PupCups, and Dunkin for pup treats, and sleeping with his momma. He is living the dream and we couldn't be happier for him. Congratulation Gummy!
