Gracey’s Hope

Gracey’s Hope The Gracey’s Hope Foundation was created in the wake of the tragic and senseless murder of Gracey Kayla Hope Adams. Her memory and ministry continues.

“We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭28‬ ‭CSB‬‬ Amen. Romans 8:28 does not say all things are good.

It says God is so sovereign, so loving, and so faithful that He can take all things — grief, loss, delay, betrayal, suffering, confusion — and work them together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

Not everything is good.

But nothing is wasted.

Reclamation.

That’s what God does.

He takes what is broken, abandoned, wounded, and buried under grief… and begins the work of restoration.

At Gracey’s Hope, we believe hope can still grow in devastated places. Not because the pain disappears, but because God reclaims what the world says is ruined.

“He restores my soul.” Psalm 23:3

I have wanted to be able to share the portion of Gracey's funeral where Amy spoke, thanks to a dear friend who has major video skills, we are now able to do so.

Words cannot express how much I admire Amy McClure and her strength.

Thank you all for your prayers and support over these last four months.

We love you.

We took a week to step away and recharge… but we’re back at it.

This morning, carpet is going in at the Gracey’s Hope offices, we’ll have furniture later this week, next we start recruiting and training volunteers!

Thank you for being on this journey with us. 🤍

Sometimes the floor you pictured in your mind doesn’t look like the floor in front of you.

We were aiming for gray… and it came out brown. Not what we planned. Not what we expected.

Life can feel that way too. We pray for one outcome, prepare for another, and then something completely different happens. In those moments, it’s easy to wonder why.

But we are reminded that God’s plans are higher than ours, and His vision is clearer than what we can see today. What feels disappointing now may become part of a greater story later.

So we keep trusting. We keep building. We keep moving forward in faith.

One day we’ll look back and understand the reason. Until then, we trust the One who already knows.

Progress update from the future home of Gracey’s Hope.

Right now, the floors are being ground smooth—preparing the concrete to be stained. It’s messy, and far from finished… but it’s exactly where we’re supposed to be.

Every step of this process matters.

This space will soon be a place where volunteers are trained, where calls are answered, and where families in the darkest moments of their lives are met with presence, care, and hope.

We’re building it one layer at a time.

Grateful for the progress. Grateful for the people. Grateful for what’s ahead.

More photos to come.

Standing just across the street from our offices at Gracey’s Hope is a small church with a powerful legacy.

This is where E. M. Bounds once preached… and more importantly, prayed. Bounds was not known for building crowds… he was known for building prayer.
He believed that prayer was the engine of revival, not the byproduct of it.

And it’s said that he prayed over this very ground—that this entire block would one day be used for the glory of God.

Think about that.

Generations later, we find ourselves here… not by accident.

What started in the middle of unimaginable loss has become a calling—to serve families in their darkest hours, to bring hope when it feels impossible, and to walk with people through the first 72 hours no one is prepared for.

We didn’t plan this location.
We didn’t orchestrate this story.

But God did.

And maybe… just maybe… we’re walking in the answer to a prayer that was prayed on this very ground long before we ever arrived.

There’s something special about building a place that will one day hold so many sacred moments.

Right now, it’s paint, floors, decisions, and long days… but we know what it’s becoming.

Amy and I have been working on preparing what will be the forever home of Gracey’s Hope — a place where volunteers will be trained, where calls will be answered, and where a mission born out of heartbreak will continue to grow.

It’s not just an office.
It’s not just a training center.

It’s a place that will help carry families through the hardest 72 hours of their lives.

And honestly… it feels right that we’re the ones painting it.
Every wall, every detail — it’s personal. It matters.

We’re building this with our own hands, just like we’re building the mission behind it.

Grateful for every step.
Grateful for what’s ahead.
