That’s how many people will be diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor in the US this year.

Meet Cancer Survivor Julie MacPherson ⬇️

"If I could offer one piece of advice to the CARES community of fighters and survivors, I would say to be your own advocate and learn as much as possible about your disease. Join a support group and learn from others who are fighting the same fight. Ask lots of questions, and then ask some more. Take things one day at a time, but remember that having a positive attitude is EVERYTHING! If you tell yourself you can overcome, you will!”

Behind every successful event is a group of people who believe in the mission and are willing to roll up their sleeves to make it happen.

Thanks to our Event Committee (some pictured here) who are an amazing group of supporters, professionals, advocates, and volunteers who help bring our events to life across the Nashville community. They generate ideas, make new connections, secure auction items, set up, break down, and help ensure flawless ex*****on. They give their time and heart to help us fund innovative cancer research. Meet Cancer Survivor Christi Haskell ⬇️
Did any treatments or trials in your care come from cancer research?

I underwent chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Even though immunotherapy has been around for more than a century, so much of what we know now has been the result of research from just the past 30 years. The field is growing and expanding. Cancer research and specifically immunotherapy research has made it possible to say I am a survivor, and I am forever thankful for those who donate to research. I have incredible hope for the future of cancer care.
