The VFW Auxiliary is comprised of people from all across America and beyond its borders who have come together with a common purpose: to improve the lives of veterans, service members and their families, and our communities. With nearly half a million members, we span the globe from the U.S. to Thailand, from France to the Philippines, from Panama to Guam.

We want you to join us as we serve America's uncommon heroes!

The VFW Auxiliary is one of the nation’s oldest veterans’ service organizations and our members are the relatives of those who have served overseas in a location of foreign conflict. We have nearly half a million members nationwide who volunteer millions of hours and fundraise millions of dollars for charitable projects that benefit veterans, military service personnel, and their families.

Through our National Programs, we assist the VFW pass or block legislation that impacts veterans and their families, provide nearly a million volunteer hours in the VA medical system, conduct patriotic programs with thousands of students and offer hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships for our nation’s youth.

Are you familiar with the eleven Programs VFW Auxiliary members participate in every year?

They are: Americanism, Auxiliary Outreach, “Buddy”® Poppy & VFW National Home, Extension & Revitalization, Historian & Media Relations, Hospital, Legislative, Membership, Scholarships, Veterans & Family Support and Youth Activities.

On a National level, there is an Ambassador for each Program, while Department and local levels have Chairmen, but one does not need to be an appointed leader to get involved! There is something for everyone.
