On January 26, 2018, sixteen-year-old Lauren "Lulu" Williams was viciously assaulted in the school halls by bullies who ripped her wig off and taped her humiliation for social media. Lulu suffered from a scalp condition that caused her to resort to wigs in order to hide her appearance from o
thers. In the midst of her public humiliation and exposure, Lulu decided to make a powerful statement: shaving her hair bald to defy her shamers, and take her POWER back.
As a result, her story went viral. People all over the world have come together to show support for Lulu and outrage about bullying, including several celebrities, such as ANTM Host Tyra Banks. Lulu's story has been featured on shows like "The Real", and "TMZ", and also Teen Vogue. She is partnered with ManUp Against Bullying, and will be speaking out about the affects in an effort to empower others to reclaim thier power as well.
