Our little learners had an exciting and educational visit from our local **firefighters and their fire truck** for Fire Prevention Week! 👩🏾‍🚒👨🏾‍🚒🚒❤️

The children had the opportunity to get up close and learn all about the **fire truck, firefighter equipment, and fire safety**. They learned that firefighters use the truck to carry important tools and equipment needed to help people during emergencies. They even got to see some of the special gear firefighters wear to protect themselves while fighting fires!

🔥 Our students also learned:
• Never play with matches, lighters, or fire.
• Always tell a trusted adult if they see something that could cause a fire.
• **Stop, Drop & Roll** if their clothes ever catch on fire.
• Stay low and crawl under smoke to get to safety.
• Know **two ways out** of every room.
• Never hide from firefighters—firefighters are there to help!
• Have a family fire escape plan and practice it at home. 🏠❤️

Most importantly, our little ones learned that **firefighters are community helpers who are there to keep us safe!** 👩🏾‍🚒👨🏾‍🚒💪🏾

A HUGE thank you to our amazing firefighters for taking the time to visit our Head Start family, teach our children, and make learning about fire safety so much fun! 🚒❤️

Learning today, staying safe tomorrow!🔥🚒
