It's time to speak up! 🎤🎤🎤

Registration is now open for the 2026 PA 4‑H State Presentation and Public Speaking Contests.

Both events will be held virtually on July 22 as two separate contests. Youth are welcome to participate in one or both contests.

The Presentation Contest challenges 4‑H members to demonstrate their skills in planning, organizing, and delivering educational demonstrations. A presentation focuses on a project‑related topic and involves teaching or physically demonstrating how to complete a specific phase of a project. Presentations may be given by either an individual or a team.

The Public Speaking Contest supports county public speaking programs while helping 4‑H members build strong communication skills. This contest focuses on speech content, organization, and delivery.

Arianna is in Venango’s Edge and Teen Council. She completed leadership, cooking, quilting and self-determined projects. Arianna is proud of her accomplishments in 4-H: she received the gold clover award, has received blue ribbons on all of her project books, and created a new project book from scratch based on her intended career. 4-H allowed her to grow and step out of her comfort zone. She’s currently attending Robert Morris University for Early Childhood and Special Education with plans to become a Special Education Teacher. Her favorite 4-H memory is spending the fair week with her friends then helping out at the Bacon Buddies show. She is so grateful for everything her leaders have taught her over her 4-H career, and that the 4-H program brought her three best friends.

Mallory has spent time in Canal Ag, Country Proud, and The Chargers and as well as Teen Council. She showed steers, rabbits, lambs, swine, and goats through her 4-H career. Mallory has received Overall Senior Lamb Showman and Second Overall Senior Outstanding Livestock project as well as Grand and Reserve Champion market lamb. She’s attending Gannon University to obtain her RN-BSN degree to become a certified registered nurse anesthetist. Mallory’s favorite 4-H memory was winning Grand Champion market lamb and having her entire lamb “pit crew” congratulating her and supporting her. She’s grateful for everyone who has helped her in the 4-H community including the friends she’s made over her 13 years in 4-H and for her parents for giving her support and so many opportunities to succeed. We can't wait to see Mallory's success in her next steps!
