𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐥𝐢𝐧'𝐬 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬

Please join the VFW and Honor Guard Monday, May 25th to honor and remember those who gave their lives in service to our country.

9:00 AM – 13th Street Bridge
A short program will be held by the Auxiliary in remembrance of veterans lost at sea. The Honor Guard will march out with the Color Guard, rifle team, and Branch Service Flags.

9:30 AM – Civil War Monument, Franklin Cemetery
Brief service followed by a salute from the rifle team.

10:00 AM – Bandstand Park
Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony

Following the program, all attendees are welcome to visit VFW Post #1835 for a light lunch.

In the event of heavy rain, the 10:00 AM program may be moved to the VFW Bingo Hall.

Last week, we had the privilege of recognizing our Voice of Democracy and Patriot’s Pen essay winners. Nolan Somers - First Place Patriot’s Pen. Morgan Somers - Second Place Patriot’s Pen. Aurora Kush - First Place Voice of Democracy. Adison Thompson - Second Place Voice of Democracy.

At Christmas time, we personally select and purchase gifts for Veterans in our 5 local nursing homes. The presents in the picture were delivered to Sugarcreek station on Christmas Eve morning.

Franklin VFW Auxiliary #1835, Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association [CVMA PA 22-8], and Franklin Elks Lodge #110 joined forces earlier this week to provide Christmas hams to over 182 local veterans and their families.
