I am a 13 year survivor. Very often, when I share God's story of his Grace and Mercy to me - allowing me to be a 13yr survivor, the person that I am sharing that story with tells me that I am a "Miracle".

None of us are miracles. It is only by God's Grace and Mercy that any of us are still alive. Only Jesus was the MIRACLE. We are all God's instruments to share his story of his Grace and Mercy. Each of us are still on this earth to share that story and that is the message each of us should share with other cancer survivors.

I truly believe the reason I am still on this earth is to give others who are fighting cancer, the message of HOPE that they will survive.

Last Thursday, September 15, 2022, I celebrated being a 10-year Pancreatic Cancer Survivor. During my lifetime, I have had 3 different types of cancer. It is because of God's Grace and Mercy, some fantastic doctors, and a tenacious attitude is part of the reason I am still alive today. As I tell people, either God's work for me is not done, or I am a person he does not want. I truly believe in my heart his work for me on this earth is not yet done.

Advanced pancreatic cancer is often symptomless, leading to late diagnosis only after metastases have spread throughout the body. Now, researchers have uncovered the role of a signaling protein, called LIF, that may be the Achilles' heel of pancreatic cancer.
