Post Meetings are on the 4th Saturday each month at 0900hrs. VFW Post 3402 is continually seeking new members.

Good Morning,

We’re sad to share that the Memorial Day Parade is canceled.

However, the ceremonies at Dean College at 9:30, Union St. Cemetery at 9:50, St. Mary’s Cemetery at 10:10, and at the War Memorials at the Town Common at 12 noon are ON as scheduled.

We hope you understand and we hope to see you at one of the ceremonies.

Update: Parade Canceled; Ceremonies Still On

Good Afternoon,

We wanted to let everyone know that a decision on the parade will be made by 7am Monday morning and will be shared here as well as on Town social media and the Franklin Veterans Services web page.

Regardless of the parade being canceled we anticipate the ceremonies at Dean College, Union St. Cemetery and St. Mary’s Cemetery as well as the Town Common to go on as scheduled.

We appreciate your understanding and hope all have a meaningful Memorial Day. Remember the purpose of the holiday.

It’s Poppy Day for Franklin VFW! Come see us and grab your Buddy Poppy and wear it proudly in remembrance of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

We’re at Stop & Shop, Shaw’s, and Liquor World from now until 3.

At Stop and Shop you’ll see Sarah until 12 and the Herman.

At Shaw’s you’ll see Lui and Terry until 12 and then Mike.

At Liquor World you’ll see Joe until 12 and then Ernest.

If you can’t make it before 3 and want to donate you can always Venmo us .

Poppy proceeds go into our Relief Fund to be used to assist veterans here in Franklin.

We hope you have a nice weekend and find some time to remember those who gave all.

Huge Shoutout to Steve at L & S Plumbing and HVAC!!

He rearranged his busy schedule and came by the post on a weekend day to swap out our ancient furnace and install a brand new one for us! He had us up and running in time for an event we were hosting later that day!

I got the invoice a few days later and was so appreciative of the beyond generous discount Steve put in there.

I highly recommend Steve and L&S Plumbing! Great guy, excellent work, very knowledgable!

Franklin - looks like you’ve been doing some spring cleaning!!! Our overflow shed is coming in handy! We’ve had the bin and overflow shed since the end of Thanksgiving and this is the fullest it’s been! It usually gets picked up once a week.
