The Franklin Garden Club is a club open to residents of Franklin, MA who are interested in learning more about gardening. We meet the 1st Tuesday of the month September through June at the Franklin Sr. Some of our activities include maintaining the town common garden, field trips, speakers, workshops, an auction, perennial swaps, a game night, socials, and lots of fun!

Learn How to Grow Orchids Successfully- Orchid experts Linda Abrams and Mike Badia will discuss a variety of topics related to orchids. The meeting will take place at the Franklin Senior Center, 10 Daniel McCahill Street, from 6:00– 8:30 p.m. The meeting is open to the public at no charge.
“Orchids 101” will include tips on the basics of orchid culture, including good types of orchids for growing in the home, watering, fertilizing, light requirements, potting mixes, repotting and pests. There will also be an orchid repotting demo. Additionally, the speakers will highlight some of their favorite sources for orchid plants, orchid information on the web, and the Massachusetts Orchid Society (MOS).

The presenter is Suzanne Faith, RN, an award-winning press floral artist and certified dementia professional. The meeting will take place at the Franklin Senior Center, 10 Daniel McCahill Street, from 6:00– 8:30 p.m. An informal social get-together will take place from 6:00 – 6:30 p.m. followed by a business meeting and the program. The meeting is open to the public at no charge. The club encourages those interested in becoming a member to attend.
