Friends of Franklin Parks

Friends of Franklin Parks Our focus is on continually improving our parks for the public by mobilizing the resources of the community.
(1)

Friends of Franklin Parks, Inc., exists to cultivate stewardship within our community to preserve our cultural and natural resources, enhance the park and trails experience and expand its legacy for future generations. FRIENDS OF FRANKLIN PARKS is a not-for-profit organization that formed to bridge the gap between the services and amenities offered by government funding and those that allow us to

take full advantage of the incredible natural and historic resources of our community. Working closely with the City of Franklin and its Parks department, Friends of Franklin Parks works to identify immediate needs that exist within the 18- park system and the trail system and to plan for future enhancements. It’s a partnership that requires support from the public and private sectors, individuals and organizations – but the concept has been well demonstrated, both here and elsewhere.

Efforts like these help restore the riverbank so that when our community walks through Bicentennial Park, they can better see and enjoy the beautiful Harpeth River flowing through Franklin. 🌳💦🛶💪

Today we hosted the 9th annual Boys and Girls Club Spring Break Day at The Park at Harlinsdale Farm!

This beloved tradition brings kids from the Boys & Girls Clubs of America together for a day of outdoor learning and fun. They spent time with horses from Silent Run, learned about protecting our waterways with the City of Franklin Stormwater Management Department, and even tried their hand at fishing with the City of Franklin Parks Department.

Days like this remind us how special it is to connect kids with nature, animals, and the incredible people who care for our parks and community. A special thank you to our individual volunteers and the team from Boyle Investment Company who volunteered their time today and helped make this day so special for these kids. 🌿🐎🎣
