We Are Building Lives

We Are Building Lives continues to foster strong relationships with local VSO’s and veteran centers in our community. We want to extend a huge thank you to MTSU Charlie and Hazel Daniels Veterans and Military Family Center for hosting us on campus this week! We are so grateful to collaborate for our local veterans and community with you alongside the Rutherford County Veteran Coalition.

🔨 A huge THANK YOU to Lowe's Home Improvement for their generous donation of materials to support a renovation project at our Academy House! 🙌🇺🇸

The Academy provides transitional housing, support, and a foundation for veterans as they work toward stability and independence.

Because of community partners like Lowe’s, we can continue improving the space our veterans call home—creating an environment that is safe, welcoming, and worthy of the men we serve.

But we can’t do this alone. It takes a community to build a home, and it takes a community to help rebuild lives.

👉 If you’re a business, organization, contractor, or community member who wants to make a difference, we invite you to join us. Whether it’s materials, skilled labor, financial support, or simply spreading the word, your contribution can help us move this project forward and make a lasting impact on a veteran’s life.

Let’s come together and show our veterans that their community stands behind them.

Thank you, Lowe’s, for helping us build lives and serve middle Tennessee veterans. And thank you to everyone who chooses to build with us.

All donations are tax deductible and go directly to supporting veterans… make a donation today at the link below👇

We Are Building Lives was so honored to attend this beautiful ceremony. May we never forget those we lost on 9/11. 🇺🇸❤️‍🩹

Many of the veterans we serve were affected by the years of service that followed 9/11.

We will continue to remember our fallen heroes and those that came home from deployments in need of tremendous support moving forward. Transitioning back into society can be difficult for many. Anniversary dates hold a lot of emotions for our veterans.

We are so grateful for the sacrifices our first responders and our military continue to make daily.

September 11, 2001. We remember. 🇺🇸

Today, we honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost on 9/11, the families who were forever changed, and the first responders, service members, and ordinary Americans who stepped forward when our nation needed them most.

We remember the courage, sacrifice, and unity that followed—and the generations of veterans who answered the call to serve.

At Building Lives, we remain committed to honoring that service by helping veterans find stability, purpose, and a path forward.

We will never forget.

Partnerships like this make a difference. ❤️🇺🇸

A huge thank you to Bob's Discount Furniture and ARAM Logistics for coordinating the donation of 15 mattresses and pillows to Building Lives Foundation!

A good night’s sleep is something many of us take for granted, but for the veterans we serve, having a comfortable, safe place to sleep can be an important part of rebuilding their lives.

Your generosity helps us provide more than a bed—it helps us create a welcoming environment where veterans can focus on healing, stability, and their next chapter.

We’re grateful for partners who believe in our mission and are willing to step up to support the men and women who have served our country.

Thank you, Bob's Discount Furniture and ARAM Logistics, for helping us Build Lives. 🇺🇸

The numbers are heartbreaking. But behind every number is a life.

During Su***de Prevention Month, we cannot ignore the reality facing our nation’s veterans.
Veterans continue to experience su***de at significantly higher rates than the general U.S. population. These aren’t just statistics—they represent brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers, friends, and neighbors.

At Building Lives Foundation, we believe prevention starts with connection.

A safe place to live.
A supportive community.
Access to resources.
A sense of purpose.
Someone willing to listen.

Sometimes, helping a veteran rebuild their life can begin with something as simple as reminding them:

You don’t have to face this alone.
Let’s move beyond awareness and work together to build lives, restore hope, and save lives.

If you or a veteran you know is struggling, call or text 988 and press 1 for the Veterans Crisis Line.
