We are celebrating the permanent protection of 16 acres of forest at White Barn Farm with a series of monthly hikes! Many thanks to MA DCS, Town of Wrentham, MA Audubon 30x30 Catalyst Fund, private donors and the Raymond Family for completing this land protection project. Please join us on a hike!

UPDATE!! Come join us at Rushford & Sons Brewhouse in Upton this Thursday, June 25th from 5:00-7:00 as we celebrate the completion of the Forest Heights project!!

The Forest Heights Conservation Restriction was recorded Wednesday June 17th. This beautiful town-owned Upton acreage off North St. is now permanently protected by the restriction held by the Sudbury Valley Trustees (SVT) and the Metacomet Land Trust.

Many thanks to the Town of Upton, our donors, SVT, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Forest Reserves Grant program, our legal team at Eliason Law Office and the Catalyst Fund of Mass Audubon. Every donor and each partner played key roles in bringing this conservation project to a successful completion.

We hope you will be able to join us at Rushford & Sons Brewhouse and just enjoy an informal, relaxing time together. The Teddy's Lunch Box food truck will be on the scene and of course, Rushford's own brews and non-alcoholic beer as well.

Metacomet has been selected as an AmeriCorps/TerraCorps Service Site for the 2026-2027 Service Member pool. We are seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator to serve our area beginning September 1st. This position will be based in Whitinsville.

MLT MEETING MOVES TO ZOOM! Thursday, May 21st 7:00 p.m.

Metacomet will hold our annual business meeting virtually. If you are a member, please log in and participate.

Please check your email for Zoom meeting instructions sent on Monday, May 18th. If you did not receive the email and wish to participate, please email [email protected] for more info.

This short meeting will cover required elections, approval of last year's minutes and the financial report. Our Annual Report with details is posted on our website.

MLT needs a quorum of 20 or more members participating on the video meeting or sending a proxy to our Board President and/or Vice President before the meeting begins.

Our program on watershed protection with Stefanie Covino, of the Blackstone Watershed Collaborative, will be rescheduled for the fall.
