What's on your normal Saturday morning to-do list? Groceries, laundry, T-Ball and soccer with the kiddos? Meanwhile, out in the wild last Saturday, volunteers and Town employees in Mendon were out in the woods planning for trails at the Town's Muddy Brook North conservation area, which is permanently protected by a conservation restriction held by Metacomet! On Valentine's Day, Tell Us Your Favorite Natural Area!
We Love Where We Live -- And We Know You Do, Too!
As we think about those we love and how we express our love on Valentine's Day, here at Metacomet we're doing the same. First and foremost: we love our members who consistently show their appreciation for land conservation and the natural areas we work hard to protect.

Each of us working on MLT's projects sort of "falls in love" a bit when we discover the plants, animals, trees and water that combine to make our conservation areas so special.

We're wondering if you have a special place in the 15 communities MLT serves? Where do you and your family love to spend time? Summer, winter, spring and fall there are so many beautiful open spaces and nature preserves. Whether it's your own backyard, a local or state park, or a land trust preserve, where do you go to breathe fresh air, discover nature, and find peace?

Please send us your favorite outdoor park or preserve and why it's special to you and your family! We can't wait to discover new places loved by our friends and members!

Please post here or reply by email to [email protected]!

Wishing you all a cheerful and warm Valentine's Day!
