Nashville Basket Brigade Built on the simple gesture of sharing with others, the Nashville Basket Brigade delivers baskets filled with all of the fixins for a Thanksgiving dinner.

Built on the simple gesture of sharing with others, the Nashville Basket Brigade got its start in 2007. With contributions from friends and family, the Brigade filled ten baskets with Thanksgiving dinner fixings that year and delivered them to Nashville families. Becoming an annual event, the Nashville Basket Brigade has grown over the past six years, distributing more than 120 baskets last Thanks

giving. In August 2012, the Brigade became an official 501(c)(3) (Tax ID: 90-0772168). Our goal for 2012 was to give away 100 baskets. With the abundant support from the community, we were able to give away over 120 baskets and get a good jump on the fundraising for the following year. Our goal in 2013 is to deliver 200 baskets. With the support of the community as well as celebrity autograph auctions, we hope to be able to once again exceed the planned number of baskets!

Nashville Basket Brigade

The Nashville Basket Brigade has gone through several changes over the past few years, and after much discussion, we have made a very hard decision to dissolve our organization. We will not be doing a basket drive this year, and all of our t-shirts and other assets will be donated to non-profits around Nashville.

While we are ending our chapter with the Brigade, we plan to develop a new non-profit with a focus on what we are passionate about in our lives. We already have several ideas and will be hard at work on our ideas very soon.

We'd like to thank everyone who has supported us over the past 13 years by donating, volunteering to build or deliver baskets, and spreading the word. The journey of the Brigade has been a wonderful experience for all of us. Over the years, we've been able to deliver thanksgiving meals to over 2,000 families. This was only possible because of our supporters. We offer our most sincere and enthusiastic "Thank You" to all of you.
