The next event hosted by Quattro Eroi Lodge after the Cinema Paradiso movie on Saturday will be a panel discussion of 20th Century Italian immigrants relating their experiences in coming to Franklin/America. It will be held at the Senior Center on Friday, November 14 at 1:30 PM. All are welcome to attend. The discussion will include remembrances of the old country, first impressions of America and and changes they have seen over their lifetimes among other topics.

The final film of our Italian Film Festival in honor of Italian Heritage month will be presented this Saturday, November 1, at 3:30 at the Historical Museum at 80 West Central Street. This is a world classic film. Admission is free!

The second movie in our Italian Heritage Month Film Festival is "Summertime." It stars Katherine Hepburn as a woman looking for love in Venice. She meets the man of her dreams but it turns out not as simple as it appears. The movie was filmed on location in Venice and surrounding area.

Next up is "Cinema Paradiso" on November 1.

Fun Night at Fenway!
Except for the first 5-10 minutes (when the Angels scored 6 runs on 3 home runs in the first inning!), it was a fun night despite ending up as one of the 17 one-run losses by the Red Sox this year! And the shirts are the best ones of the last 4 years of Italian Nights!

Today is Festa della Repubblica in Italy! It’s a national holiday commemorating the 1946 vote to establish a republic. So it makes total sense that the Red Sox selected this date for Italian Night at Fenway. The Lodge will be well represented to join in the celebration! Go Red Sox!
