are available for adoption but are growing up without permanent families to care for them. As of May of 2015, according to AdoptUsKids.org, there are 8,146 children in foster care and 320 children available for adoption in the state of Tennessee. These children entered foster care through no fault of their own, as victims of child abuse, neglect or abandonment. The parental rights of those availab
le for adoption have been terminated. SAFE's programs offer resources and services to foster families and their foster children while also creating opportunities for families in the community to be involved and learn more about the need for fostering and adoption in Tennessee. We at SAFE believe that EVERY heart deserves a loving home and we strive to create them.
