October 24th!
Acclaimed singer-songwriter Richard Shindell will appear at the Circle of Friends Coffeehouse in Franklin on Saturday, October 24th. He is a master storyteller whose richly drawn characters explore the human condition and who has a rare gift for stepping inside a life that isn’t his own and making you believe every word.
For decades, he has built songs around vividly drawn characters: a cab driver on his last fare of the day, a war widow, an immigration officer, a soldier, an Argentine grandmother, even Mary Magdalene. In Shindell’s hands, these aren’t simply characters in songs. They become fully realized people whose stories open onto bigger questions of love, loss, faith, politics, war, prejudice and the complicated business of being human. https://www.richardshindellmusic.com/
