Mukwonago Bears Team 930 will be hosting a summer Lego Camp the first two weeks of August, 2022.

WHAT IS LEGO SUMMER CAMP?
Team 930's LEGO Summer Camp encourages young students to get involved in STEM. Through this camp, you will learn how to build and program a LEGO SPIKE robot. You will enhance your critical thinking skills along with teamwork while having fun along the way.

WHO CAN ATTEND?
Our LEGO Summer Camp is open to students entering Grades 4 through 8. Attendance is open to students from any school district, but students from Mukwonago Area School District will be prioritized.

WHEN IS IT?
The camp runs 5 days a week from 12:00 - 4:00, Monday - Friday. This is a one-week camp with the first week, August 1st - 5th, being the Introductory Camp, and the second camp, August 8th - 12th, being the Advanced Camp. In order to attend the Advanced Camp, your child must be involved in an FLL team or have a previous LEGO Summer Camp.

WHERE IS IT?
LEGO Summer Camp will be held at Mukwonago High School - Room 42. You will enter the High School through Door 4. Members of Team 930 will be present to walk your child to the camp.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
You will work on a unique task each day, whether it be programming or building the robot. Each day will include a short break time for a snack. On the final day of the camp, students will then compete with their robots showcasing all the hard work they have accomplished throughout the week.
The Introductory Camp is the first summer camp welcome to all students, regardless of their previous knowledge in FLL. Students will engage and compete with LEGO SPIKE Kits and develop building and programming abilities. They will learn the basic principles of the design process, helping them start their journey in FIRST and STEM.
The Advanced Camp is the second summer camp designed for students that have either completed the introductory camp or have competed in a FIRST LEGO League team. This camp will teach more advanced principles that will build off of their prior knowledge of LEGO SPIKE, LEGO League, and FIRST as a whole.

WHAT DOES IT COST?
The fee to attend is $100 per student.

DO PARENTS NEED TO ATTEND?
Parents do not need to attend. Team 930 adult chaperones will be present each day, along with Team 930 members running the camp. Please reach out to us at mailto:[email protected] with any questions. Parents are invited on the last day to see students show off their robots.
