Friday was another fun day on the Habitat Build site learning how to hang drywall! More importantly, it was another great day of community building. A multitude of thanks to McAlister’s Deli of Columbia for their generosity and community mindedness in donating a delicious lunch for all of us. Special thanks to Greg, the General Manager, who could not have been kinder throughout the planning process. Great to have some of Westhaven Foundation’s Board on site with us - Jason Kaplan, Mark McCutcheon (and his wife Karen) and Shari Lacy. The Foundation’s Care & Compassion Committee’s member Lindsay Newkirk also joined us. Thanks also to the team of California Closets, one of the Habitat Westhaven Build’s primary sponsors who came out and made a significant impact. And, lastly, shout out to all of the other Westhaven residents, especially the pickle ball guys, who rocked it.

Saturday was our third day on the Habitat for Humanity Williamson-Maury Westhaven Build Site! Another remarkable day of volunteerism and community building it was. It’s such a pleasure to work alongside Heather Cater, who along with her three daughters is our build’s future homeowner. Special thanks to Papa John’s for donating the delicious pizza, especially to Jeremy Smith, Director of Operations of the Nashville Market for setting it all up and to Laura Mann & Sally Richardson for picking up the pizza and delivering it to the site. Many thanks also to the volunteers on site and to those who prepared salads & dessert. Back on the build site both Friday and Saturday of the coming week! Come join us! 🔨 🏠

Buy a brick in Foundation Park on the Lake!

Westhaven Foundation Park is a popular place where our community comes together for music, relaxation, and family fun on the lake.

We’re adding a new pergola to provide shade and comfort, creating an even better space to gather. Proceeds from brick sales will make it possible.

Help us build more than a pergola—help us build community.
