We work hard to find loving, caring homes for the adoptable dogs
and cats located at the animal control facility in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas. Adoption fees are $30.00 for dogs and $15.00 for cats from animal control. All dogs and cats are spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations when adopted. Each dog is also heart-worm tested. Phone 870-373-2649 for more information. If you need spay/neuter

assistance, and live in Horseshoe Bend, AR, please phone. We also provide pet food to our local Community Food Bank. We are an all volunteer non-profit group who depends on fundraising events, donations and grants to be able to continue assisting the animals and their people in this low income, rural part of Arkansas.

We are now halfway through the 2026 year so here is an update on our "Animals In Our Area Are Testing Positive" board! 🐾
Listed below are our stats for 2024, 2025 and steady climbing numbers for 2026. Our goal with this board is to spread awareness of the issues in the surrounding areas that can affect your pet's well-being. The most effective way to prevent these issues is to stay consistent with preventatives year-round!
Please share!

If we are honest about wanting to end animal suffering in America, then spay and neuter must become the primary variable—not an afterthought. Shelters are not failing because people don’t care; they are overwhelmed because prevention failed upstream. Every intake, every overcrowded kennel, every euthanasia decision traces back to one truth: too many animals are being born into a system that cannot absorb them. Adoption and rescue save lives one by one—but spay and neuter saves lives by the thousands.

Until we put prevention at the center of our culture, policy, and funding, we will keep asking shelters to manage impossible outcomes. This crisis doesn’t end in kennels. It ends at the source. Please spay and neuter EVERYTHING. ā¤ļøšŸ™Œ
