🍂🎃 Junior Leadership Club Meeting Reminder! 🎃🍂

Join us for our next Junior Leadership Club Meeting on October 15 at 5:30 PM at the 4-H Office (600 Main Street, Blevins Building, 2nd Floor, Franklin).

Participants will have the opportunity to plant native Louisiana irises, learning how these plants support local wildlife, attract pollinators, and contribute to healthy ecosystems.

👀🐦 We spotted birds, learned new skills, and had a lot of fun along the way!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Birding Workshop! Participants learned how to identify birds by sight and sound, explored local habitats, and discovered the joy of birdwatching in our community.

When asked about their favorite bird sightings of the day, attendees shared some amazing finds, including:
🦅 Bald Eagle
🪶 Great Blue Heron
🐦 Killdeer
✨ Boat-tailed Grackle

A special thank you to Lake End Park for allowing us to use their facilities and helping make this event possible.

We also extend our gratitude to Mr. Jim, an Acadiana Master Naturalist, and Ms. Juliana from the LSU Museum of Natural Sciences for sharing their knowledge and birding expertise with our participants.

We loved spending the day outdoors learning, exploring, and connecting with nature together!

🚁 Ready for Takeoff?

Join us for the St. Mary 4-H A.C.E.D. Drone Day Camp on October 28 at the Patterson Civic Center! 6th-8th grade students will learn to code and fly drones, tackle obstacle courses, explore drone careers, and build STEM skills through hands-on activities.

🍓🍞 Mixing, measuring, learning, and having fun! Our Nutrition Day Camp was filled with hands-on activities as 4-H'ers baked Bread in a Bag, made fresh fruit salsa, learned about nutrition and wellness, and made new friends along the way. We love seeing our young people gain confidence in the kitchen and beyond! 💚
