I accidentally used a QR code generator that only lasts for 1 week on our flyer. They wanted to charge us over $100 to keep the same one, so I decided we'd go ahead and change our flyer to a free option. I apologize for any confusion! Please share this UPDATED flyer for those who prefer to apply via phone and QR code. Thank you for understanding!

Previous text: It's that time of year once again - time to send a batch of campers to the YMCA Storer camp! With the help of the Michigan Elks and some wonderful private donors, we have the distinct pleasure of sending up to 16 campers for a one-week camp experience at the YMCA Storer camp near Jackson, Michigan. This year, we will be joining the YMCA camp for session two which runs from June 21-26th. Campers spend most of their time with their cabins doing a wide array of amazing camp activities such as swimming, boating, archery, arts and crafts, horseback riding, and climbing the tower. They also meet with AG Bell staff for part of their day to play games and meet the other campers who use hearing aids or cochlear implants just like them. Please be aware that campers must use listening and spoken language to participate fully in this camp opportunity. It’s the last full day of camp and the closing fire ceremony was a roller coaster of emotions. From the Trailblazers (Blaze On!) winning the cup to the closing song, our campers laughed, cheered, and even shed a few tears at the thought that camp is almost over. Thanks to everyone who donated to help bring campers here and a huge shoutout to the wonderful YMCA Storer staff for another successful year. Thank you!

Rain is coming but campers were able to get their horse rides in as scheduled. Hooray! Another AG Bell camper was chosen to flip the sign today. It’s quite the honor! Several campers bought treats and goodies at the trading post, as well. We might be stuck in our cabins due to weather tonight though, so I’m posting pictures early.

It was a beautiful day so we spent most of it outside. We took some group photos and we caught several campers enjoying arts and crafts time today. Fingers crossed it doesn’t rain too much tomorrow and we can get some horseback riding in. Wish us luck!

We had an awesome full day at camp today! Campers were able to paint a canoe with their villages and start participating in their club activities. We had our first meeting during Saska (oohh say it again!) and had a good time getting to know each other and play some games. I suspect the campers are going to sleep well tonight after so much fun!
