Julie Duffy, Carlisle City Manager was Rotary's guest speaker. Carlisle has seen steady growth in housing even during the pandemic. Franklin & Carlisle leaders work closely together for the good of both communities.

Kim Gates, director of Adult Education at Warren County Career Center was a guest at Franklin Carlisle Rotary. WCCC offers classes for high school juniors and seniors in Warren County as well as classes for adults who are changing careers or need certifications in their current jobs.

Rotary District Governor Frank Scott visited Franklin Carlisle Rotary with good news about community grants. One-Third of our district's donations to Polio Plus & the Rotary Foundation comes back to our area to fund service projects.

In honor of Rotary Polio Day Oct. 24th, Franklin Carlisle Rotary invited local doctor Rick Chamberlain to talk about polio's resurgence in the US . Wild polio virus is in our everyday environment so our best option to avoid it is the polio vaccine.

Franklin Carlisle Rotary visited the Farm on Central in Carlisle. It's amazing what farmer Michael Kilpatrick is growing on his 8 acre farm.

Franklin Rotary welcomed Jodi Stone (left) and Jennifer Stacy (right) from Warren County Children Services to talk about their Foster Care program.
We also donated 20 fleece blankets to give out to the kids they serve. When a child has to go into foster care, a warm blanket to call their own is a soothing gift.

Our Rotary program this week was Regina Menninger, RN from UC Health, who talked about controlling the bleeding of accident victims. This program was geared to the general public, not medical personnel.
We welcomed Rotary District Governor Carol Hughes as our guest for the meeting.
