Pawsitive Shelter Volunteers We are a volunteer 501(c)3 nonprofit promoting the health, wellness and adoption of shelter animals.

Who We Are

Positive Shelter Volunteers is an all-volunteer run 501c3 nonprofit operating in Macon County, North Carolina. While we new/old kids on the block--we've been volunteering at Macon County Animal Services for years, we have recently organized into a nonprofit to raise money to help more homeless cats and dogs. MISSION

To promote the health and welfare of shelter animals in Macon County

, North Carolina. What We Do

ENHANCE the lives of homeless animals in the county shelter. We walk shelter dogs 5 days a week and allow them socialization and play time. We purchase special food, toys, blankets, beds, and dog walking supplies. FUND extraordinary veterinary care for homeless cats and dogs when costs exceed the county budget. PROMOTE pets in the Franklin Press, through social media, and on our website MaconAnimals.com
TRANSPORT homeless animals to adopting parents in other states. EDUCATE and PROMOTE spaying and neutering surgery as the number-one answer to the pet overpopulation crisis.
