The mission of Bearing Others Burdens is to bring encouragement for those facing life altering events. Galatians 6:2 – Bear one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ. A burden is a weight, often too heavy to bear. Christ calls us to bear those burdens, to take that weight on ourselves. One such burden, too heavy to carry in time of trial, is discouragement. Discouragement, fear & isol

ation all go hand in hand. You are carrying your weight, walking through a dark mist, but as you walk along, the weight becomes heavier, your eyes cannot see the next step, and so you stumble, maybe even skin your knees, and begin to cry. In your sadness, fear, and immobility, you wonder “Does anyone see me? Does anyone know how I feel? If anyone knew what a dark place I was in, would they still love me?” Our enemy, the devil, would like us to believe the answer to our questions, is “NO”, and yet Christ has the answer. Not necessarily to eliminate the weight, but to send someone along our path to take that heavy burden of discouragement and infuse it with encouragement. Many of us have been in the same boat, even if we are sailing down a different river, and know how much a touch, kind word, prayer or card can mean, but sometimes, it’s the extra mile that puts the light back in our eyes, the balm to sooth our weary souls, the answer to our cry to God to help us
carry our load. I Peter 5:7 – Casting all your care upon Him for He cares for you. The Bible teaches us that He equips us with different gifts, some the gift of carrying burdens for others. I like to think when He hears a cry for help or knows there’s a person too discouraged to even cry out to Him, He sends one of his servants He’s already equipped to carry the burden. The Good Samaritan didn’t just bind the wounds, he provided extra. He didn’t just give a kind word and move on; he bore the burden. There are hurting souls everywhere we look. No one person can help them all,
but God equips and gives passions, and He has given me a passion to tangibly encourage hurting souls.

Good morning everyone. Wherever you live, I bet you have seen some crazy weather this summer. Here in middle Tennessee, we are still in the mid 90’s and hoping for rain, BUT!, my flowers still look great, God has shown his beauty everywhere and I am so grateful. A new month to enjoy. I do so love the fall changing of the leaves. I hope you have a wonderful day and know you are loved.

This weeks fabric collection. These fabrics may look like ordinary cotton, but to us, they represent something much more.

Each one is carefully chosen to become the binding that surrounds a memory square—created to honor a life that was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.

We look for beauty. Soft florals. Gentle greens. Warm earth tones. Quiet reminders that even in seasons of sorrow, love and beauty remain.

Four years ago, God opened a door we never expected.

Since then, Bearing Others Burdens has delivered more than 1,200 comfort bags to Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center and thousands more to hurting families across all 50 states.

Every month, new requests come in, and every time they do, we want our answer to remain the same:

Yes.

Yes, we'll send a bag.

Yes, we'll encourage that family.

Yes, we'll help carry their burden.

Today we're launching our "Help Us Keep Saying 'Yes'" campaign with a goal of providing 100 comfort bags for Vanderbilt patients.

Each bag is handmade and thoughtfully filled with practical comfort items, encouragement, and hope for someone facing one of life's hardest seasons.

Joey had a piece of my heart from the moment he was born. There was something about how he laughed, hugged, asked questions (that sometimes were shockers) and called me Aunt Special K that bonded us together.
