County Fair - must register on FairEntry to complete project. If you don’t want to show, you can select that option when you register

State Fair - if you plan to go to State, please see leaders for what class you should sign up for and what height you should enter for your dog. The height is the height of dog at withers, NOT jump height.

NO CLASS TONIGHT OR MEMORIAL DAY

As we have some storms moving in tonight, we are cancelling our Dog Club Meeting.

Please remember to keep practicing at home and work on the Stays.

Next Monday is Memorial Day, there will be no practice, enjoy the day.

With the Forecast for tonight showing high winds, lots of rain and lightning we have decided to Cancel tonight's Dog Club meeting.

4-H Dog Club Registration/Information Meeting

Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 6 pm

Education Room at Purdue Extension Johnson County Office

(Northeast Corner of fairgrounds, be sure to come in the fairgrounds entrance closest to Kohl's)

We will cover all the paperwork, go over the general rules of Dog Club and answer any question you may have regarding the club/project. This meeting will be human only, NO DOGS.

Please plan to attend this important meeting and feel free to pass this information on to anyone you know who may be thinking of participating in the Dog Club. You must be enrolled and registered before March 1 to participate in dog club activities.

Also, if you have not already done so, please enroll your son/daughter for 4-H (v2.4honline.com) and of course Paw Pounders Dog Club and the Dog Project.

IN State Fair 2025 4-H Dog Show is complete! What a great year for all of these amazing kids and their dogs! JoCo is really making a name for itself! We had 13 4-Hers compete with their dogs and also had 13 overall placements!! We even made JoCo history with Abigail Dabson winning 1st Place Beginning B Agility with her Sheltie, Eevee, out of 90 class entries!! 🐾

REMINDER: VERY IMPORTANT DATES for the upcoming County and State Fair Show.

Tuesday July 1 - REQUIRED DEADLINE Register on Fair Entry for County Fair. You do not have to show but you have to register.

Tuesday July 1 - DEADLINE to register for State Fair Dog Show

Thursday July 10 - Dog Show Obedience Registration at 5:30pm Show at 6pm. If you plan to show, Obedience is REQUIRED

Sunday July 13 - Dog Show Agility & Showmanship Registration at 7:30am Show at 8:00am (times could be earlier)

Saturday/Sunday Aug 16-17 - State Fair Dog Show Obedience will all be on Saturday. Agility will be on both days. Showmanship will be on Sunday.

Due to the Rain this last Monday, we will hold a Practice this Saturday 6/21/2025 from 9am to 12pm.

This practice, we will have 2 Agility Walk-thru, 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM, same as the last Saturday Practice.

If you want to practice Agility you will need to be there at either 9:00 AM or 10:30 AM, we will not be doing random Walk-Thru, it simply takes up too much time.

If you show up after we have completed Walk -Thru you will not have a chance run the Agility Course.

Also, parents, you can help us setup and tear down to speed up the meetings.
