Kai’s #11 jersey was retired after his passing as a way to honor the incredible athlete, student, and person he was. This year, in a decision that means a lot to all of us, we’ve brought it out of retirement for someone who truly reflects the same spirit. Congratulations to Riley Lyman, who’s been given the honor of wearing #11 — a number that now stands for excellence, character, and heart.

Today, Kai 11 Save a Heart Mission had another successful EKG screening event!

Our mission is to promote early detection, raise awareness about heart health in young people, and potentially save lives through proactive, accessible care. Thanks to our dedicated volunteers, healthcare professionals, and community support, we were able to identify and provide follow-up resources to those in need.

It has been 4 years since the Kai11 Bill was passed into WI Law. Parent’s are required to sign a Sudden Cardiac Arrest consent form each year. Don’t miss your chance for an EKG screening on Tuesday August 5th for young adults ages12 to 22. Visit the Kai11 Save A Heart mission for details.

We are now just a month away from our annual heart-screening event. We are staffed-up and ready to test a large number of students once again - before school begins and/or kids go off to college. Do not miss this low-cost and important opportunity! And…a reminder: the International criteria supports student-EKG/ECG screening every 2 years due to their developing bodies. (Findings in their studies showed that doing so decreased the sudden death rate by 89%!)
