The Franklin Design Committee, in partnership with the Friends of the Community of Franklin, is proud to celebrate America’s 250th Birthday by bringing patriotic spirit to our beautiful downtown!

From the American flags proudly lining our streets, to the bunting displayed on our downtown businesses, and the festive decorations at the Pocket Park, this project is a true reflection of the pride, patriotism, and community spirit that make Franklin so special.

The Franklin Design Committee, in partnership with the Friends of the Community of Franklin, is proud to celebrate America’s 250th Birthday by bringing some extra patriotic spirit to our beautiful downtown!

From the American flags proudly lining our streets, to the bunting displayed on our downtown businesses, and the festive decorations at the Pocket Park, this project is a true reflection of the pride, patriotism, and community spirit that make Franklin so special.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to our downtown businesses for graciously allowing us to display the bunting on your buildings and to the many volunteers who donated their time and talents to bring this vision to life. Projects like these are only possible because of your support and willingness to come together for our community.

As we prepare for Franklin’s Fourth of July celebration and commemorate the 250th Anniversary of our nation, we hope everyone enjoys the downtown decorations, and celebrates all that makes America—and Franklin—so special.

🌿🎨 A beautiful new addition to our bayou side!

The Franklin Design Committee is proud to unveil this new “FRANKLIN” mural, beautifully painted by the incredibly talented Maggie Johnson Young. Each letter highlights elements that reflect the natural beauty, culture, and spirit of our community — making this piece a true celebration of Franklin.

This mural is just one of the many projects the Franklin Design Committee has helped oversee this spring, and it will be the first in a series of posts highlighting our 2026 projects and improvements throughout the city. We are excited to continue working to enhance and celebrate the charm of Franklin for both residents and visitors alike.

A huge thank you to Maggie for bringing this vision to life with such creativity and detail! 💚
