The mission of the West Suburban Special Recreation Association is to provide quality recreation services for persons with disabilities who reside in WSSRA communities, we believe our success will inexorably be tied to our willingness to embrace diversity as a value and a practice. Calling all athletes ages 15+—get ready to hit the field! Join our Bobcats Softball program, where you’ll build fundamental skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship while preparing for exciting competitions.

✨ A skills assessment will take place on the first practice day to help determine team placements. More details will be shared after registration.

Give your little one a fun and active introduction to sports with Special Olympics Young Athletes!

Designed for children ages 3–7, this engaging sports play program helps our youngest participants build foundational skills in a supportive and energetic environment.

Through fun activities and games, children will practice:
• Running
• Jumping
• Catching
• Throwing
• Kicking

Along the way, they’ll also develop important physical, cognitive, and social skills — all while having a blast!

Location: Barrie Center, Oak Park

Hop on over for a morning full of family fun! Join us for a delicious pancake breakfast, exciting children’s activities, an egg hunt, and photos with the Bunny!

This event will take place both indoors and outdoors, so please dress for the weather.

Taekwondo – NEW! (Ages 7–14)

It’s not too late to join! You can still register even though the program has already started — fees are prorated based on your registration date.

Through Taekwondo training, participants will build physical strength, focus, and self-discipline. Classes are led by KH Kim Taekwondo. Uniforms may be ordered during the first week of participation for a $50 fee.
