At Bald K**b Community Outreach, we have been reflecting on what it truly takes to build a stronger community.
Over the last 8 months, we have seen countless people express support for helping our neighbors, improving our community, and making a difference. We are grateful for every kind word and every person who believes in our mission.
However, community growth requires more than good intentions—it requires action.
We want to sincerely thank the volunteers, donors, sponsors, and supporters who have taken time out of their busy schedules to help others. Whether you have donated, volunteered at an event, helped a neighbor, or simply shown up when help was needed, you are making a real difference.
As our organization continues to grow, we have also encountered a challenge that many volunteer organizations face. We often have individuals sign up to volunteer or commit to helping with events, only to not be available when the day arrives. We understand that life happens and circumstances change, but these last-minute absences place additional strain on the volunteers who do show up and can make planning community events extremely difficult.
If you are willing to volunteer, we appreciate you more than you know. All we ask is that if you make a commitment, you do your best to honor it. If you cannot commit, that is perfectly okay too. Honest communication helps us plan and serve our community more effectively, just let us know.
At the same time, this serves as a reminder that a community cannot thrive if it is not invested in itself. Real change happens when people step forward, lend a hand, share their talents, and become part of the solution.
Not everyone has the time to volunteer, and we understand that. There are many ways to support the community. Something as simple as becoming a monthly donor—even at just $1 per month—helps move our community one step further. When many people contribute a little, together we can accomplish a lot. Every dollar helps us continue serving local families, supporting community events, and responding when neighbors need assistance.
We respect and appreciate every resident of our community, and we know everyone has different responsibilities and challenges. But if we want Bald K**b to continue growing into the kind of community we all want it to be, we need more people willing to move from talking about change to helping create it.
Together, we can accomplish incredible things. But it takes all of us.
