Congratulations to Duke Brubaker
TIME Dealer of the Year Nominee for KY!

We're excited to share that Duke Brubaker, of Champion Ford Mazda in Owensboro, Kentucky, is Kentucky's nominee for the 2027 TIME Dealer of the Year Award. Duke is one of only 48 dealers across the U.S. selected for this prestigious honor, which recognizes both industry success and community commitment.

KADA's 2017 Chairman, Duke brings more than three decades of automotive retail experience and a strong commitment to Kentucky’s franchised dealers and the communities they serve.

A 1992 graduate of the University of Richmond with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Duke began his career at Champion as a salesperson. He advanced through finance and sales management before becoming general manager in 2012 and dealer principal in 2022.

Duke’s industry leadership includes service on KADA’s board, the Kentucky Auto Dealer Services board, and Ford’s dealer advisory and advertising boards. Throughout his career, Duke has emphasized strong customer relationships, family business values, and giving back to the Owensboro community. His commitment to his dealership's customers extends to personally responding to every online customer review, explaining that it helps him, "remain connected to the customer experience and understand where we are succeeding or need to improve."

KADA is proud of its partnership with Kosair for Kids, who just announced a $2.5 Million grant to Med Center Health in Bowling Green for its infant care services. As a direct result of this contribution, more infants will be able to stay in a NICU close to home rather than being transferred to Vanderbilt or other facilities.

KADA appreciates all of the dealers making regular contributions as part of this partnership, which is what helps make donations like this possible.

Together, KADA and Kosair for Kids are creating a world where children in need have the opportunity to thrive. As part of our partnership, KADA members across the Commonwealth are encouraged to donate $1 to Kosair for Kids for each new and used car sold every month. The funds raised will fund pediatric healthcare, medical research, child advocacy, education, and social services so that all children may live life to the fullest.

Our November workshops are an extremely popular training and professional development opportunity for dealership staff. With KyELT booming and a transition toward electronic titles coming in 2027, you don't want to miss this year's workshops!

KADA is thrilled to offer these workshops for Kentucky title clerks, controllers, CFO's, and dealership management to learn from subject matter experts and share ideas and solutions with their peers from other dealerships.

Our title clerk workshop focuses on improving efficiency and staying compliant in a seemingly ever-evolving environment. In addition to traditional speakers, we will have a title clerk panel that will allow attendees to ask questions and share ideas and helpful hints.

Our dealership operations workshop will feature something for all managers, from HR practices to accounting guidance, to managing compliance challenges.
