Thanks to Yes Arts for making our Cafe space even more welcoming through the beautiful and collaborative mural. We’ll have an opportunity to celebrate the mural soon, but until then feel free to drop by and see what our months-long collaboration looks like.

Today for school for recovery we began our overdose memorial walk tee shirts. Big shout of to our volunteer Frances for allowing our members to make their own shirts for the event we are hosting on August 29th.

There was so much excitement and joy on the faces of everyone who participated. Next Thursday at 11:30am we will make more. If you are free please come and participate.

Kentucky Recovery Rally 2026

Mark your calendars. The Kentucky Recovery Rally is returning to the Kentucky State Capitol in Frankfort on September 3, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The speaking program will begin at 10:00 AM.

Why do we gather in Frankfort? To remind Kentucky that recovery is possible. Every September, we come together at the State Capitol to celebrate the power of recovery, honor the journeys of Kentuckians impacted by addiction, and connect with the resources, communities, and leaders driving change across the Commonwealth.

This event is open to everyone. Individuals in recovery, family members and loved ones, providers and advocates, and anyone who wants to show support are all part of this community. You don't need a personal connection to addiction to belong here, you just need to care about your community.

This year's rally will feature guest speakers, nearly 100 resource booths, food trucks, and free naloxone.

Where: Kentucky State Capitol, 700 Capital Ave, Frankfort, KY

When: September 3, 2026, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Speaking program begins at 10:00 AM)

Today we received our transfers and our blank tee shirts to begin preparing for our memorial school for recovery activities. Thank you Frances Hager for your willing to teach our members how to do this and for the light you have brought into our community space.

We're excited to share that Recovery Cafe Frankfort met an important milestone this summer; we're now a Full Member of the Recovery Cafe Recovery Café Network! We're so grateful for the love, support, and welcome we have received in Frankfort, and we look forward to years of service as a neighbor and a partner.

Recovery Cafe Frankfort was launched because members of our team in Lexington, local Frankfort leaders, and the loving community at Church of the Ascension felt called to respond to the needs in our community. And we were lovingly shepherded throughout the process by the Recovery Café Network. Wherever you are, if you feel called to love more deeply by living out the knowledge that we belong to each other, then the RCN is here to help.
