Wanda J Here to create and invest in relationships that strengthen the lives of children, youth and families impacted by incarceration. What do we do?

The mission of the Wanda Joyce Robinson Foundation is to create and invest in relationships that strengthen the lives of children, youth and families impacted by incarceration. The Wanda Joyce Robinson Foundation, Inc. is an independent, non-partisan 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that fosters partnerships aimed at healing and unifying our community. We welcome a diversity of ideas and experien

ces in our search for equitable and inclusive solutions to address the impact of parental incarceration on children and youth. The foundation partners with schools, community agencies and other non-profits to provide resources and services to children and families. WJRF has the unique capacity to “fill in the gaps” that macro-level services unintentionally create. Our foundation represents “family”, as in total community- felon, child/youth, law enforcement, correctional system, school, mental health, government and business. Within this family, WJRF provides mentorship for both prisoner and child; support to parents and caregivers; and connection to community. We believe in a holistic approach to breaking the generational cycle of incarceration. This is achieved through the commitment and dedication of the foundation volunteers and board of directors.

June is Internet Safety Month—an important time to examine how grooming and online exploitation are impacting children and families across Kentucky. This session brings together prevention professionals and law enforcement to explore emerging electronic crimes and Kentucky’s new grooming law (HB4).
Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how grooming occurs in digital spaces, why it matters now, and how recent legislation affects prevention and response efforts. Through real-world examples, attendees will learn to recognize warning signs and take action.
The training will also cover what to do if grooming is suspected, highlight the role of the Attorney General’s Office, and share key resources and prevention strategies—equipping participants with practical tools to better protect youth.
