In today’s economic world, teachers are finding it increasingly difficult to get the materials they need. A local community organization is hoping to make it easier. On Aug. 4, the Frankfort Elks Lodge #530 donated $5,800 to the Franklin County Schools Board of Education. Frankfort Elks Lodge #530 proudly presented a check for $5,800 to the Franklin County School Board to help 29 first-year teachers prepare their classrooms for a successful 2026–2027 school year.

Supporting our community's children is at the heart of what we do. In addition to helping new teachers, our Lodge sponsors programs such as the Drug Awareness Program, Hoop Shoot, Soccer Shoot, the Americanism Essay Contest, and awards more than $20,000 in senior scholarships each year.

These efforts are made possible through the support of our members and the dues they pay, allowing us to continue making a positive impact throughout Franklin County.
