HeartBEATS: Amplifying Youth Voices
HeartBEATS is a trauma-informed Hip Hop and beat making youth development program for students at The Kings Center, an out-of-school time community center for youth and families in Frankfort, KY. We emphasize positive mentorship with local professional musicians, DJs and producers; provide young people with the tools to express their emotions and experiences through music; foster collaboration among peers; and enhance confidence through creative mastery.
