Simon House of Kentucky Simon House provides shelter to families with children and provides essential items to the community and case management for referrals to other needed services.

Simon House serves low-income clients primarily from Franklin and surrounding counties in Central Kentucky. Simon House offers three programs to assist clients:
• A Residential Program that provides housing and services for homeless families with children and
• A Community Outreach/Prevention Program for low-income families in the community who may be at risk of becoming homeless without assistance with essential items (such as food, diapers, clothing, cleaning supplies, etc.)

Join Simon House and Bridging the Gap for a spooktacular evening of Halloween fun!

Bring the kiddos out for an evening of costumes, candy, and community fun! All children are welcome! 🧡

🎉 Simon House is proud to announce that another one of our amazing Board Members has been commissioned as an **Honorable Kentucky Colonel!**

The Kentucky Colonel commission is the highest title of honor bestowed by the Governor of Kentucky and recognizes individuals for noteworthy accomplishments and outstanding service to their community, state, and nation. The Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels carries that spirit of service forward through philanthropy, supporting nonprofits across the Commonwealth through its Good Works Program.

Simon House has been fortunate to receive support from the Kentucky Colonels, so this honor feels especially meaningful to us. We are incredibly proud to have another member of our Board join this distinguished group of Kentuckians committed to serving others.

Rebecca Saager has always felt a strong calling to support women and children in need. Her passion for service has been a meaningful part of both her professional and community life.

Rebecca is a retired middle school teacher and serves as clergy in the Episcopal Church, Diocese of Lexington. Through her ministry and community involvement, she has continued to dedicate her time and talents to helping others.

Rebecca also serves on the Board of Simon House, where she is a member of the Maintenance and Repairs Committee. Recognizing the ongoing need for practical assistance, she developed a volunteer group called “Helping Hands,” bringing together volunteers who are willing to lend their time and skills to complete needed projects and improvements.

Rebecca brings to her service a heart for others, a commitment to community, and a willingness to step in and help wherever she is needed.
