The Capital City Chorale, Frankfort’s community singing ensemble, began in 1994 under the direction of Dr. Carl Smith. The group consists of vocalists from professionals to average music lovers. Currently members hail from Franklin, Scott, Shelby, Woodford and Anderson counties. Capital City Chorale is a vital part of the Frankfort arts scene and supports other arts programs in the community. Over

the years the group has performed at a variety of venues around town—from the Stewart Home School to the Governor’s Mansion and Kentucky State University--performing at events such as the Frankfort Memorial Day Ceremony, Frankfort Candlelight Tour and the dedication of the KY National Guard Memorial. The Purpose of the group is to provide an organization for those who wish to perform in a choir and to encourage the musical education of its members and the surrounding community. The group strives to perform musical works which engage and stretch the members of the ensemble but also engage the audience.

Thanks to all who came out, sang, played, and donated to our organization.

Please spread the word about our community choir. Our Fall semester starts Tuesday Sept 8th at First United Methodist Church. Come sing with us!

Thank you to everyone for a great turn out for Bar Jeopardy last night at The Kentucky Hug. The atmosphere, service, food, and drinks were 5-star worthy!

Thank you to The Kentucky Hug for choosing to spotlight Capital City Chorale for the evening. We appreciate your support and your generous donation. Thank you for being a local business that promotes activities within the community and for giving back.

If you enjoy Jeopardy be sure to catch a game there on Wednesday nights at 7:00.

What a great time tonight! Shout out to the Brown Barrel and Blind Harry's. The food was delicious and service was excellent!

Thank you to DJ Nato for hosting karaoke. A special thanks to some local and not-so-local singers who performed for us. We hope to see some of your faces when our Fall semester starts in September. And of course our Chorale folks who showed up in support.

A huge Thank you to Cary Sudduth for organizing, and to Marla Smaltz for the flyers to help promote our group. It was a great time!
