We’re almost there. The Y bag is nearly full, but we still need your help to cross the finish line and meet the full, growing need for scholarships. This is your moment to make a direct impact on a student’s future. One gift could be the reason they say “yes” to LTC. Let’s fill the Ybag together. Give now: https://donorbox.org/annual-fund-2025-2026

Our Y bag is becoming full, meaning dozens of students are closer to attending LTC, regardless of financial barriers. We’re in the final stretch, and your support right now is critical. Let’s finish strong and make sure no student is left out because of cost. Help us provide memories that last a lifetime: https://donorbox.org/annual-fund-2025-2026

We’re on our way! Thanks to early supporters, our Y bag is already filling up. That means more students are one step closer to experiencing LTC! At LTC, they will build confidence, grow their leadership skills, and make lifelong connections. We’re continuing to see an increase in scholarship requests from students in need, so help us keep the momentum going and fill our Y Bag to the top with donations. Every gift makes a difference. https://donorbox.org/annual-fund-2025-2026

Every student deserves the chance to lead. Next month over 170 KY teens will attend the Leadership Training Conference (LTC). Some of you may remember the nostalgia of Y Bags at LTC and the hope and joy they bring to participants. Help us fill this Y bag with opportunity. Right now, it’s empty but it represents something powerful: a growing number of students who want to attend LTC and need financial support to get there. This year, requests for need-based scholarships are higher than ever. Your gift to the Need-Based Scholarship Fund helps remove barriers and opens doors for young leaders across Kentucky. Help us start filling the bag. Give today: https://donorbox.org/annual-fund-2025-2026

Abbey Costello, our Director of Partnerships & Development, recently presented at the North American YMCA Development Organization (NAYDO) conference in California. Abbey and former KY Y staff member, Drew Caldwell, presented on how Ys across the country can leverage Youth & Government programs as powerful tools for fundraising, donor engagement, and mission impact.

Youth & Government is more than a program, it builds future leaders, donors, volunteers, and changemakers while creating meaningful stories that inspire investment in the Y mission. Thank you to Abbey and Drew, and NAYDO, for the opportunity to share how youth voice and civic engagement can help grow impact across the YMCA movement!

The Estill County High School Student Y hosted a community debate last week for the election. The debate included the Estill County Sheriff race, the Estill County Judge-Executive Race, the 91st District KY State Representative Race, and the 30th District KY State Senate Race. Students fed the attendees, and asked the candidates questions. The event was moderated by Lincoln Wilburn, who ensured that the debate rules were enforced. The goal of the event was to greater inform the public on the purpose of Student Y, as well as provide the public a chance to better understand each candidate.

Great work Estill County Student Y Chapter! Estill County High School
