🏭🏗️ OCTOBER IS MANUFACTURING MONTH IN KENTUCKY!

Governor Andy Beshear has officially designated October as Manufacturing Month, recognizing an industry that plays a major role in Kentucky’s economy, communities and workforce.

And when we celebrate , we’re also celebrating Kentucky .

Ready mixed concrete is essentially manufacturing on the move. Every day, Kentucky’s ready mixed concrete producers carefully measure, batch and mix raw materials to manufacture a highly engineered product—then deliver it directly to jobsites across the Commonwealth.

And the manufacturing story doesn’t stop there.

Throughout Kentucky, companies manufacture precast and prestressed concrete, concrete pipe, concrete masonry products and other materials that become the foundations, roads, bridges, buildings, utilities and our communities depend on.

Kentucky manufacturing employs more than 260,000 Kentuckians and contributes $47.5 billion annually to the state’s GDP. The concrete industry is proud to be part of that manufacturing tradition—and proud of the men and women who manufacture the material that helps build Kentucky every day.

Did you know the National Concrete Pavement Technology Center has an extensive library of resources available to help agencies, engineers, contractors, producers, and other industry professionals make better-informed pavement decisions?

The CPTech Center serves as a national hub connecting research, technology, agencies, and industry—and turning that knowledge into practical tools that can be used in the field.
