We’re proud to collaborate with our fabulous community partners, and our incredible corporate/private sponsors to make this happen. (DFI) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit established to ​promote historical downtown Frankfort by creating exceptional experiences and aesthetics for all those who live, work and visit. Support and advocate for businesses, residents and tourists through marketing, partnerships

, networking platforms and signature events. The DFI board of directors is comprised of up to 13 members nominated by committee and elected by the board. An additional four members representing the City of Frankfort, Kentucky Capital Development Corporation, the Frankfort-Franklin County Tourism Commission and the Frankfort Chamber of Commerce, serve in ex-officio, non-voting capacity. DFI funding is derived from budget allocations from the City of Frankfort, individual donations, sponsorships, fundraising events, and contracted partners. DFI works to promote downtown as an exciting place to live, work, invest, and visit. Program of work includes: improving the appearance of downtown; developing and improving events that bring local residents and tourists downtown; efforts toward historic preservation, and supporting the City of Frankfort with implementation of the Master Plan. Examples of DFI events include the Summer Concert Series, Candlelight Weekend, Derby, and play supporting role for third party events like the Bourbon on the Banks Festival.

Entry info: The Great Buffalo Trace Entrance opens at 8 am on Saturday and 10 am on Sunday to both cars and pedestrians.

Have a tour booked? We recommend allowing a few extra minutes for parking.

Please note, no other drops are planned for Father's Day Weekend. First come, first served. We look forward to welcoming you!
