The NOAA Weather Radio transmitter serving Southern Middle Tennessee will remain off the air for the foreseeable future.

The transmitter site that covers this part of our area sustained significant damage during the recent winter storm. Replacement parts have been ordered; however, due to the age of the equipment and the extent of the infrastructure damage, service may initially return at only partial power once repairs are completed.

During this outage, weather radios in Lawrenceburg, Columbia, Pulaski, and surrounding communities will not receive alerts.

We strongly encourage everyone to have multiple ways to receive warning and watch information.

We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available. Stay weather aware and stay safe.

Follow the new Giles County Emergency Services page for all of your updates.

Emergency Services were dispatched to a reported MVC w/out entrapment. Arriving units find a large truck in its side. One transported out of caution, unknown extent of injury at this time.

If you will be traveling on Pigeon Roost in the area of Maxwell Hill Rd., please find an alternate route as clean up is expected to take a while.
