Saving Tails Animal Rescue & Outreach (STAR) is a non profit 501c3 comprised solely of volunteers dedicated to homeless, neglected, abused and chained animals. Our rescue mission is to heal, fix, microchip and find loving families for homeless animals. Our outreach mission is to educate owners of chained and neglected animals to improve their living conditions by providing supply assistance such a

s insulated dog houses, straw, quality food and vet care. We get dogs into kennels to free them from chains and we work to spay and neuter all the animals to break the cycle and where improvements cannot be made, we work towards a surrender to find a new home for that animal. We are working actively to improve local animal welfare laws and ordinances and we believe that burning both ends of the candle is the only way to accomplish our mission successfully. 🎉 Pebbles got her kennel today! 🎉

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who donated and helped make this happen. Because of your constant support, we were able to provide Pebbles with a safe, secure space of her own. ❤️

We truly couldn't do what we do without this amazing community standing behind us and our outreach animals. Every donation, share, and act of kindness makes a difference in their lives.

They have generously donated 500 pounds of food topper for our outreach dogs! The dogs have been absolutely loving it every Sunday, and it has made such a difference.

Cream Soda is still waiting for her forever home 🐾❤️

She’s such a sweet, happy girl who loves adventures, cuddles, pets, and snacks 😋✨ She gets along with everyone she meets and is dog friendly too!

She walks great on her leash, and loves to cuddle. She is up to date on all her vaccinations, spayed, microchipped and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention.

She is missing one ear due to trauma before she came to us, and we think maybe that is why nobody wants her - but we think she is beautiful!

Mulberry is STILL looking for her forever home! 💜

Honestly, we can't believe this sweet girl is still waiting. She is now 13 weeks old.

Mulberry is everything you could want in a puppy - loving, cuddly, happy, and always ready for an adventure. She absolutely LOVES everyone she meets and never misses an opportunity to make a new friend. Whether it's playtime, snuggle time, or exploring the world, she's just happy to be included.

The one little thing that makes Mulberry unique is that she happens to be deaf.

To us, that doesn't make her any less amazing, and we know there is a family out there who will see just how special she is. ❤️

Mulberry would thrive in a home with a confident doggy friend to help her navigate the world and continue building her confidence. She doesn't let being deaf slow her down one bit - she's a happy, playful puppy who is ready to love her family with her whole heart.

Just because a dog is on a tie-out or in a fenced-in area doesn’t always mean they’re safe ⚠️🐾

Kardi recently jumped the fence - but thankfully he was okay and we were able to safely get him back over.

Please always double-check your setups and keep an eye on those escape artists ❤️

Jack Update ❤️‍🩹

Thank you to everyone who has donated toward Jack's care. Because of your generosity, we were able to get him started on the emergency treatment he desperately needed to give him a fighting chance. He deserves that much.

Jack received bloodwork, stabilization treatment and surgery overnight. He remains hospitalized and is receiving around-the-clock care. At this time, his condition is still considered guarded, but we are doing everything we can with the resources available to help him pull through.

This was the second attack on the chain by a stray in less than a week, so at this time the severe infection that has taken hold in his face and neck are the main concerns.

We will continue to share updates as we learn more.
