What a fun and memorable day for the Frankenmuth Noon Rotary!

Today’s special Rotary meeting was hosted at the beautiful Bavarian Blast Waterpark, where we enjoyed an outstanding presentation and tour from Rotarian and President Michael Zehnder Keller highlighting the incredible new waterpark. What an impressive addition to our community!

Of course, we couldn’t let the opportunity pass without doing some good while having a little fun. Rotary members raised $1,300 to see our President Mary Anne Hiles take the plunge down the massive water slide. Then, in a surprise announcement, Michael shared that Frankenmuth Bavarian Inn Lodge would match the donation — if he went down the slide with her!

That brought the total raised to an amazing $3,900 for the Rotary Helping Hands Fund, supporting local needs right here in our community.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and helped make today such a great example of fellowship, generosity, and community spirit. Rotary in Frankenmuth at its best!

Great day yesterday at the Rotary District 6310 Conference in Bay City—uplifting, energizing, and full of great sessions.

Pictured here is this year’s Frankenmuth Rotary exchange student, Ana Carolina Duchmann Berlie (“AC”), who joined us from Germany. AC shared a bit about her Rotary year and the impact of the exchange experience.

Also pictured with her are one of her host families—Rotarian Kelly Baumgartner and her husband, Micah.

Another great reminder of the connections and impact Rotary makes around the world.

Last Saturday, April 24th, Rotarians and friends came together for the annual Saginaw Bay Watershed Clean Up—and what a great morning it was.

It’s always inspiring to see our community show up, roll up their sleeves, and take pride in caring for the place we call home. Small actions add up, and days like this make a real difference for our waterways and future generations.

Thank you to everyone who came out and contributed your time and energy!

Official Announcement

The Frankenmuth Noon Rotary Club is proud to continue deepening its partnership with Sleep in Heavenly Peace - MI, Saginaw, an organization that has already made a remarkable impact in our region.

On Saturday, April 18th, Rotarians, along with friends and family, gathered for another bed build in Saginaw in support of this mission. Together, we are helping ensure that

In just 18 months, Sleep in Heavenly Peace Saginaw has built and delivered 806 beds to children across the Saginaw area. This is the kind of meaningful, local impact we are proud to stand behind—and invest in.

As part of that commitment, we are excited to formally announce that the 8th Annual Frankenmuth Fondo on August 8th will benefit Sleep in Heavenly Peace Saginaw, alongside the Rotary Helping Hands Fund.

We invite our community to join us—whether by riding, volunteering, or supporting this effort—as we continue to expand the reach of this important work.

Together, we can make a lasting difference.

No Rotary lunch this week—but for a great reason!

Many of our members will be gathering tomorrow morning for the annual watershed cleanup, putting service above self into action right here in our community. We’d love to see you out there with us!

In the meantime, here are a couple photos from our most recent meetings. We had the pleasure of hearing from Chris Fowler, who shared insights on the Saginaw Valley State Cardinals men’s basketball and his vision to get student-athletes more engaged in the community beyond the court.

We also heard a great classification talk from Leah Knoll, principal at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church & School, giving us a closer look at her role and impact in local education.

See you at the watershed cleanup! 💪🌎

Behind the scenes at 80s Fest! 🎶🥨

Rotarians (and some great helpers!) were hard at work yesterday preparing and taste-testing pretzels—and yes, it’s truly a family affair.

Stop by the Rotary tent tonight or tomorrow to grab one for yourself! All proceeds support the I Support the 1% Food Pantry, helping provide food and resources to local veterans.

Come hungry and support a great cause!

We were pleased to welcome Jeff Laux, PharmD, BCIDP, from Covenant HealthCare to speak at Rotary this week on the important topic of antimicrobial stewardship.

Jeff shared valuable insights on the growing challenge of microbial resistance and the critical role healthcare providers—and all of us—play in preserving the effectiveness of antibiotics. His perspective highlighted just how important responsible use and ongoing education are in protecting public health.

Thank you, Jeff, for an engaging and informative presentation, and for the important work you’re doing in our community!

We were honored to have fellow Rotarians join us for last week’s build with Sleep in Heavenly Peace - MI, Saginaw

A special moment from the day was presenting chapter president, Christina Licht, with a check for $8,872—enough to fund 30 beds for local children who previously did not have a bed of their own. That’s 30 kids whose lives are being changed in a very real, tangible way.

This is what Rotary is all about—coming together to make a meaningful impact in our community. We’re incredibly proud to support this mission and grateful for the hands and hearts that made it possible.

We’ll have Rotarians back out for the April build (and many more to come), so stay tuned for ways to get involved and partner with Rotary in this incredible effort. Together, we’re building more than beds—we’re building hope.
